DEEP CLEANSING SCALP SCRUB TREATMENT

Adding a hair scalp scrub to your weekly 'self-care day' can rebalance the hair's pH level by stimulating blood circulation, unclogging pores, and removing product build-up for optimal scalp health. This deep cleansing treatment is excellent for brides who use dry shampoos regular, have an oily or dry flaky scalp, but remember that scrubbing too hard or too often can aggravate and irritate your scalp.

DEEP CLEANSING OR CLARIFYING SHAMPOO TREATMENT

Regular shampoos are formulated to remove dirt and excess oil from your hair. Clarifying shampoos remove excess residues from product build-up, including silicons found in hair oils and waxes, fibres found in volumising products, polymers in hairsprays and gels, chlorine from swimming pools. Using a deep cleansing shampoo can bring back dull and greasy hair to life.

Hairdressers may use this product before a chemical treatment like colouring, perming or keratin treatments to remove all products and build up from the hair. Using a clarifying treatment shampoo on coloured treated hair may increase the rate in which the colour fades.

The more products you use in your hair daily, the more often you'll need to use a clarifying shampoo. Hair that gets oily quickly may want to use a clarifying shampoo more regularly to remove excess oils from the scalp, like once or twice a month. If you have dry hair naturally, it is best to use only once a month as the shampoo treatment strips the hair's oils.

LEAVE-IN CONDITIONERS

A leave-in conditioner is a lightweight, non-greasy hair moisturiser that helps to detangle, protect from heated tools.

The no-rinse conditioner treatment is excellent for most hair types for an added moisture boost and is applied to towel-dried hair or spritz onto the hair while outside to protect from the elements.

If you have fine flat hair, you can remove the rinse out conditioner from your routine and replace it with a leave-in conditioner as its lightweight and won't weigh down your hair.

If your hair is damaged or dry, you can use your regular conditioner in the shower and apply the leave-in treatment to the towel-dried hair before styling.

A leave-in conditioner can help smooth it out frizzy hair as it coats the hair protecting from the environmental elements.

For curly hair girls applying a leave-in conditioner to damp hair, combing through for even distribution helps add moisture to the curls for a more defined look with less frizz.

DEEP CONDITIONING MASK TREATMENTS

Sometimes your natural hair oil moisturisers from the sebum glands aren't enough to effectively reduce hair dryness from styling with heated tools, overwashing, hair colouring and chemical treatments. Deep moisturising treatments can be applied once a week to restore moisture loss.

Apply hair conditioning treatment to mid-lengths and ends only, avoid the root area, so your hair doesn't get weighed down with product. For best results use once a week and leave on for 10-20 minutes while doing housework or relaxing.

If your hair is drier than usual, have a deep moisturising treatment at the salon. Here your hair will be analysed on its condition and hair type for the correct treatment type to be applied.

COLOURED HAIR TREATMENTS

For chocolate browns and fiery reds, it is best to use a shampoo and conditioner designed for colour treated hair to prevent your hair colour from fading fast.

For blondes, you can use a toning shampoo and conditioner to neutralise unwanted brassiness. These colour based treatments are usually blue/purple based to counteract the yellow tones. They are to be used weekly or as recommended by your hairstylist, as overuse of the product can result in over-toning the hair.

There are also colour based home treatments in various tones that can be applied at home to refresh your hair colour between services.

KERATIN TREATMENTS

Keratin treatments can make frizzy, thick hair easier to manage as it smooths the hair’s cuticle to provide a straight, shiny look.

To treatment can sometimes be called a Brazilian blowout in the salon and is a chemical procedure that can last up to 6 months to reduce frizz.

If you have frizzy hair and straighten it a lot, this treatment will help you achieve sleek straight hair quicker as it cuts the styling time down and saves it from excess heat damage from styling.
